The tool "Board of Directors and Committee Member Code of Conduct" provides a template that outlines what an organization considers are acceptable behaviours for their board and/or committee members.

It additionally sets organizational standards and describes the consequences and sanctions that result from not heeding the code of conduct. Codes of conduct should also include ethical and legal considerations and should be developed and presented alongside a company’s official Anti-Harassment Policy (see tool 142 Anti-Harassment Policy Guide by the Machinery).
