Anti-Harassment Policy Guide

Tool #142

The tool "Anti-Harassment Policy Guide" outlines the steps to take when creating an anti-harassment policy.

An anti-harassment policy is a policy that prohibits harassment in the workplace. It should define what types of behaviours are considered “harassment”, outline the roles and responsibilities within the organization in regards to harassment, and what steps and procedures will be taken should a case of harassment occur. In Quebec, it is law as of January 1, 2020 that all employers have in place a policy to prevent harassment. From the perspective of the Canada Council for the Arts, organizations on core funding are required to have an anti-harassment policy by 2024.
